Gotta Get A Diploma (free) 02:16
Gotta get a diploma, gotta get a degree, gotta get an education so you will hire me. And if I don't get an education, what'll happen to me, I'll have to go and work for Tescos, eternally. But I don't think that you want that to happen to me, so I better go to university. Gotta grow up now, gotta get a job, pay off my student loan and stop being a slob. Gotta save some money, get a place to live, find a house somewhere near here and someone to live with. And if you want to you can come and live with me, until then I'll be here with my family. Gotta find a partner, gotta find a wife, gotta find someone to take control of my life. Maybe have some children, maybe get a dog, I'll work for fifty years and retire from my job. And when it's over and I finally cease to be, hope that someone out there will remember me......

Planted you when I was five Never thought you'd grow so high Mum said that you would survive Three years on you died Go! daffodil, go! Go home, go home Go! daffodil, go! Go home, go home Watered you when I was eight But I knew it was too late Tried to look on the bright side Three weeks on you died Go! daffodil, go! Go home, go home Go! daffodil, go! Go home, go home (I never thought my mum would lie, why should she decide if you live or die. I hope you find a place to stay, find a place to stay, when you go away) I hope you're happier in flower, heaven

We need a girl, to save the world, or our planet will be doomed. We've been abducted by a spaceship we've constructed, from chairs and duvets in our living room. Cos aliens came from the milky way, and they made all the dinosaurs, run away. We built a robot using sherbert for fuel, till the dragons came down and they BLEW UP OUR SCHOOL! Now it's up to us to set the people free, but we haven't got long cos it's nearly time for tea, do you wanna have it with me? Let's ring your mum and see! So don't go home just yet, cos the spaceship's now a jumbo jet, we're gonna crash in to the sea, so it's all down to you and me. Yeah we might not survive but override the autopilot, no time to hesitate, if you drive then I'll navigate. So we better bring our magic wands, cos the Loch Ness Monster's in our pond. We'll fight the witch on my back lawn, and we'll both ride off on a unicorn. There's so much for us to explore, but I think that's your mum knocking on the door, do you wanna stay until four? So we can play some more! LA LALALA LA So come to mine at ten past three, and you can walk back from school with me. Your mum's not here till half past six, and we're gonna have fish fingers and chips.

48 Heaven 02:19
I don't like Martin, he stole all my dinner money. I don't like Martin, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me. He eats BBQ wings, he eats them and other things. He came to mine for tea, and we had lasagne. He's on the computer, 24/7 He's on the computer, 34/7 He's on the computer, 48 heaven YEAH! I don't like Martin, he's got a mountain bike. It's got 24 gears, and a battery-powered light. He thinks he's really tough, he thinks that and other stuff. I went to his for tea, and we had lasagne. He's on the computer, 24/7 He's on the computer, 34/7 He's on the computer, 48 heaven YEAH! He said I was adopted, well I'm not having any of that. So I said to his face, "Martin, you are a twat!" He's on the computer, 24/7 He's on the computer, 34/7 He's on the computer, 48 heaven YEAH! ooh ah computah, ooh ah computah, ooh ah computah ah ah.

I never had it off, with you, cos you never told me what to do. I never had it off, with you, and I never ever will. I went to your house every night, but I never ever got it right. And I never had it off with you, cos you never showed me how. I sit and watch you play computer games, and I start to wish I never even came. There's a fire burning in your eyes, something that I never realised. And that night we slept side by side, and you held my hand. I never had it off with you, even though your friends told me to. And then you said that you were leaving me, and I knew I'd lost the chance. Looking back it's easier to see, that you left because of my naivety. Was he everything that I could never be? Did you leave cos you never had it off with me? Dum dum da da da dum

All the songs I've written since I was 16 are bad. I try to write a happy song but they all end up sad. I need a band (but no-one will play with him) x 4 I need a band, so I can vivify my songs, because whenever I try to do it, independantly, my ego gets the best of me. My myspace page is a barren wasteland. I can't seem to find the inspiration for a melody. And my lyrics are a joke without my rhyming dictionary. I need a band (but no-one will play with him) x 4 I need a band, so I can qualify, this competition's in July. Get signed to Sony BMG, then mum might stop harassing me. Write the best song that you've ever heard, go number ones in Luxembourg. Accumulate our royalties, invest them all in property. If only, it could be that easy. Cos no-one, wants to play, with, me.

I pack my bags, walked out the door. And I've never been so far, away from home before. I don't know where I am, or anyone, I'm not getting very much done. So now I, I'm in the absence of, my mum. Not sure how life is gonna be. With no-one to wash my clothes, or make my tea for me. I wish that all my friends could come, I'm not having very much fun. So now I, I'm in the absence of, my mum.

about

A Flat 29 side project, by Dan and Rich. A charming naive electro-pop concept album about growing up in a confusing world.

Not a comedy album per-se, but with some comedic elements, "Let's Get A Girl" chronicles a journey from childhood to adolescence, all through the medium of acoustic guitars, drum machines, and squelchy synths.

Purchase of this digital release also contains a full 25 minute live performance of most of the tracks you will hear on this album!
